FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

★ What is a zine?

A zine is a self-published collection of either artworks and writing! Their focus can range from informational to a collective love letter to the zine's theme. Just like ours!

★ What is the theme?

This time around, we'll be wrapping the shots and tales of our beloved characters in the velvet embrace of the stage's curtain—what roles did they play, which masks did they hide behind, and beyond. From center stage protagonists to episodic passersby, they all deserve to have their stories unfold beneath the spotlight.

★ Are reaction fics allowed?

No.

★ How many participants will be accepted?

We are planning to accept roughly 20-25 artists and 12-15 writers. The numbers may change based on the amount of applications we receive.

★ How do I participate in the zine?

First, fill out our application form (not open yet). We will need your contact information, examples of your work and a rough idea for your pitch.Your pitch is the base idea of your future piece—at this stage, it doesn't have to be too detailed. During the applications stage, we would simply like to know what characters you want to draw/write about! After contributor applications end, we are going to be choosing the participants and sending them an invitation to our discord server — make sure to check your messages and friend requests! Further instructions will be provided there.

★ Who is allowed to apply?

Anyone, as long as they are 16 or older.

★ Is previous zine experience a requirement?

It is not. Beginners and veterans are both welcomed.

★ Am I allowed to apply for multiple roles?

Certainly. Simply make sure that you are able to handle the workload.

★ How many pieces are allowed per participant?

Artists may contribute up to two pieces (one original, and one illustrating a fic), while writers may provide one piece (be it prose, poetry or analysis). If you've chosen to apply as both an artist and a writer, you are allowed one art piece and one written piece. After all participant invites have been sent out, our moderation team will be inquiring for one artist who will help create the cover for the zine. All artists are allowed to apply for this position, but keep in mind this will fill one of your allotted slots.

★ What are the zine specifications?

Our zine is entirely free and digital-only, meaning that after it is completed, everyone may gain access to it. We will follow the canon age rating, meaning that the contents of the zine will be PG-13: intense violence and partial nudity are allowed.
